Finally… the AdFarm soybeans met the combines last Tuesday afternoon. The soybean harvest has been a struggle. Farmer Fred has not had favorable conditions for harvesting. The harvest is late due to the rain, cold and some light snow. Weather is just one of the many challenges that farmers face.
The yield has been around 31 bu/A, and the moisture is around 15%. However, the moisture needs to be 14.5% for seed soybeans. Farmer Fred has put the bean into an air bin to reduce the moisture.
